Brigitte - Canine BehaviouristWelcome

welcome2

I deal with any problems whether large or small that you may have with your dog. Whether it is barking or biting, jumping up or aggression, house training, destruction or hyperactivity there is usually a cure for it.

If you require the services of a canine behaviourist you, as a client, should make sure that the person you call into your home to work with your dog is well qualified. This is not yet a regulated profession and therefore you should enquire about the academic qualifications. Someone who has worked as a dog trainer does not necessarily make a good canine behaviourist.

I have lived and worked with rescue dogs most of my life I decided to put my knowledge of dogs to good use. I studied Canine Psychology and was awarded a Diploma with Distinction. My practical study involved shadowing experienced canine behaviourists to get the ‘hands on’ practice. I  have successfully completed a Foundation Degree course in canine behaviour and am now allowed to carry the prestigious initials of A.Dip.CBM (Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management) behind my name. I am very proud of having been accepted by the UKRCB as a provisional member and hope to become a full member in the near future.

I am also an active committee member (and currently chairman) of the Institute for Animal Care Education which supports several welfare organisations throughout the world dedicated to educating people in the welfare of animals.
